Bella & Bronte's Clubhouse tutorial

Hello my lovelies.... I have a treat for you all today....
I have rustled up a tutorial to share over at the Bella & Bronte clubhouse on FB, and wanted to give to give you an in depth guide to the step by step...
I took a brave leap really, as I have printed on watercolour cardstock, and coloured the image up with my Spectrum Noir pens & pencils.... that in itself is a new thing for me. But then, I wanted to use my new fabby SN Aquatints ( hence the reason I printed on the watercolour CS) and I was a little nervous how the printed ink would fair if the CS got wet..???
this is how I went about it....
First I coloured up this  cute pair,"Snow Pals"  starting on the face....

I used FS4,5,6 pencils:006,009,029,091

Then I started on the clothes.....
I used IG,3,4,blender for the fur, BT4& 5 for the coat, using pencils 62,63,38,69,70,and on the scarf  CT3,GB3,DG3,CG4,3,and pencil 57.To finish the boots I used BG4,5,6 and 102 pencil.Next I used HB3&1,38,79,83 on the penguins scarf, DR7,5,& 23 on his hat. For the penguin I used IG 5&4, and GB3& 2 on his tummy.
whilst using the pencils I made sure that I worked right up over the printed lines, and finished by using my 001 pencil(white) all the way round , creating a wax "seal" to the printed ink...

Now for the fun bit, I literally swished a wash of night sky colours all the way round my image .These Aquatints are really so rich and easy to use.

Allowing the finished water coloured area to dry a little I splashed a few spots of clean water over the image, and dabbed it off with clean kitchen roll, this created a nice bit of interest the back ground

So finished I dotted a flurry of white snow flakes with my Posca pen, and added the essential scattering of glitter. I trimmed the image and mounted onto black CS, adding a Christmassy sentiment to compltete my project. I had a fabulous time, and I do hope you like it???

Its not a Xmas card with out a bit of sparkle....
I hope this will have given you a little inspiration to get those Xmas cards finished, good luck!
So, I'd just like to enter this in the following challenges...

When I saw the latest launch from MFT, I had to grab some fast!!! these cute Polar Bears are to die for, So with the new Blueprints 20, I made this......

I used a gold card blank to cut out my scallop card base with the new Blueprints 20 die. This has such awesome elements, Its fabulous!!! I used some older Bazzill basics papers called Nordic pines. The window frame is created from the squares element of the die set, It has some funky quilt style squares in it too!
I coloured up the Polar bear from the "Cool Day" stamp set, and cut him out, along with the "North pole " You will love this set, lots of additional icons, and sentiments come with it , perfect!!!

Teddy Bo Challenge - Glitter and Bling

Hey Guys !
Its Tuesday! Time for another challenge over at Teddy Bo... and this time the theme is "Glitter & Bling",
There are some totally adorable new images being released today... and here's one I chose...

This is Oli & Bo .... I love this image, and decided to print it on Kraft cardstock,(Neenah Desert Storm) to be precise) and colour the pair up with my Spectrum Markers and then with the pencils......
Oli: IG1-6
Bo:GB1,2,8,10,EB3,EB2,DR7,6,4,CR7.TN5-1.FS8

I just used some masculine type paper as background, (Its actually Vintage Christmas papers) , but made the image itself really large, to fill the whole card. Very CAS...
I added glitter to Ollie's Hat and a few sequins ( a new item of stash for me) , to complete the theme.
Please go check out the rest of the awesome DT makes from the Teddy Bo teamies...... you will love 'em all....

MMCS Inspiration- White on white

Hello and goood morning my lovelies...
I am typing this up with the intention of going for a run afterwards, but, as I look out the window, the fog is not inspiring me, lol!
So, whats up??
I have an inspirational card to share at My Mum's Craft Shop blog, and its a little WOW number!!

I used some gorgeous Centura pearl card to cut my scallop circle card base, and embosed another circle of it with my Holly embossing folder. I cut 2 sprigs of the Wild Rose Studio "Hollly Flourish" in the same CS and tucked that under my Wee Stamps "Holly Berry" card topper, which was mounted onto a scallop circle itself.

To finish I embellished with a few liquid pearl dots , in white f course, and glittered my topper. Thats another card of the Xmas to do list, haha, just another hundred or so to go, Lol!
All, I need to do now is enter this in...
